MY STORY
Specialised Lawyer in the area of IP due to his academic and postgraduate training, and having developed his professional career exclusively in this area of law. This has enabled him to acquire solid knowledge and a global vision of the many issues that arise in practice, having been responsible for the legal management of various legal proceedings and ongoing advice in complex matters.
After graduating and obtaining a PhD in Law from the “Universitá degli studi di Pisa” (Italy) – validated degree by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) – completed a Master’s degree in European and Spanish Competition Law, given by the Carlos III University of Madrid and, subsequently, a Master’s Degree in Trademarks, Designs, Patents, Domain Names and Copyrights, taught by the University of Alicante (“Magíster Lucentinus”).
As has spent almost 13 years at GARRIGUES, where he has been a senior associate and head of the legal department of Garrigues Industrial and Intellectual Property Agency, following his time at other law firms, including “Studio Legale Sirimarco”, the Italian law firm founded by his father, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2013, and the prestigious firm specialising in industrial and intellectual property, Jacobacci & Perani.
During this time AS has been client manager and recurring advisor in this area for the most important Spanish and foreign companies, as well as for important multinationals with headquarters in Spain, having been directly involved in different operations related to the purchase and sale of intangible assets and in numerous legal proceedings regarding the infringement and nullity of industrial and intellectual property rights, and other areas of conflict strictly related to this area such as domain names or anti-competitive and anticompetitive practices, whether by imitation, taking advantage of the effort or reputation of others, etc.
In July 2012 he created his own consulting firm Sirimarco & Partners, specialising in providing comprehensive and strategic services in the protection, exploitation and defence of intangible assets, collaborating with other firms and, at the beginning of 2021, he joined the multidisciplinary firm LEGALEADERS as a founding partner.
